beetle queen conquers tokyo

japanese people love insects WAY more than american's do. The Beetle Queen Conquers Tokyo looks backwards in history tracking their fascination.  i love the very quick clip in the video of the kids doing really intricate pinnings.  my old boss always wanted to have a pinning party and saved the dead insects in the freezer for that reason but still hasn't done it.  now it's just creepy, but i like it.

san francisco peep puts the same stuff together and takes pictures of it and posts it here.  i've met her in a store kevin used to work at and i didn't remember her name.  however the dog's Wilda was unforgetable.  the "e" is my favorite.  obvi. (can't remember where i found) but,  look.

Oscar Nominated Animated Shorts

i realized today while seeing the oscar nominated animated shorts at the Opera Cinema on Van Ness that the past 3 movies i've paid money to see have all been animated.  i have also seen 2 of the 3 movies alone.  most of theme were hilarious.
