these "ideal bookshelves" are too cute from artist Jane Mount.  She is doing a show at the Curiosity Shoppe in SF soon too!  Yeah for being able to GO to the show!

I'm pretty sure my ideal book shelf would be a combination of children's books, insect field guides and books on saving biodiversity.  found.  look.

AMAZING alphabet by Paul Thurlby

i am in LOVE with this alphabet from Paul Thurlby. I was it hanging in my classroom next year and then have a beginning of the year project to have the students recreate the posters with their own word and images.

the only downside is each one being $40 so if anyone has an extra $1040 laying around and wants to get me the entire set for my classroom.  that'd be great!  look.  buy me.  blog.

a very old and random connection

 when my brother and i were young we used to LOVE this book my Dad had as a kid called The Hole Book.  It was about a little boy who took his father's gun and shot it and the bullet goes through all these scenes causing terrible things to happen.  yeah we were strange.
